Art Submission guidelines

As a school with a love and appreciation for the Arts, Ambleside appreciates its donating artists! We ask that you review the following instructions to make the process smooth and pleasant for everyone and encourage you to contact our with any questions or for assistance in selecting a piece to donate.

Please select a piece (or pieces) according to the following guidelines:

• Piece has been completed within the past 3 years.
• Piece is framed (where appropriate) or ready for gallery display. Please contact the Art Acquisition Team if this presents a hardship.
• Subject matter is appropriate for display at a school auction event.
• Any medium is acceptable. In addition to a range of paintings and photographs, Artspring encourages donations of pottery, jewelry, sculpture, and gallery-quality textiles.
• We ask that pieces not exceed dimensions of 3 ft. unless previously approved by the art acquisition team, as display space may be limited.
• Each artist may donate up to 3 pieces* 
  Please consider donating several smaller pieces, rather than one large one, as this increases the accessibility of the art to the bidders.

*An exception may be made for groupings that must be hung together

Instructions

1. Submit Form and Artwork— Please complete one art submission form per piece of artwork, and send a digital image to accompany each submission. Send both form(s) and image(s) to the by Friday, January 21, 2011. Acquisitions with images will be included in both the Artspring printed and online catalogues (as deadlines and space allow).

2. Make Pickup Arrangements— If you have not done so already, please contact the to make arrangements for delivering your piece. You can drop it off at Ambleside School, arrange for us to pick it up from a specified location, or you send it to us using our FedEx account.

3. Confirm Attendance—Each artist is warmly invited to attend the Artspring event and is entitled to a complimentary ticket. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to claim your ticket by Friday, March 4, 2011. All unclaimed tickets will be made available for purchase to the general public after this date.
